 We always strongly recommend You to sow the delivered seeds from Bionic as early You ever can after delivery from us. The germination is mostly approaching 90% by arrival to You, but may quickly fall under non optimal storage conditions - heat & humidity that . normally annually because hemp will stand cold temperatures and can therefore utilise the incident annual sun power at its best - and You will allways benefit by a better commercial yield !

Treated Seeds: proffessional plant growers are aware of the very advanced ethics and economics behind seed treatment. In Great Britain after long periods of raining immediately after sowing (=Oxygen deficiency for the seeds and root tips in the soil) has given more homogenoous sprouting if the seed was treated.

Treatment with e g "Prelude"( with the active substance prochlorazatriazole) keeps different  fungi on distance (here mentioned in initial letter order) Alternaria, Botrytis, Colleotrichum, Fusarium & Phoma if extremely oxygen deficient conditions will appear the weeks after sowing week after week.

Another treatmen used by some breeders is "Thirame", used for the same purpose, where 160 g/ 100 kg seed is then applied. 

The fungicides kills the attack by these common fungi and stopps further fungi attack in the early germination and sprouting stage of the plant development in case extremely humid conditions will appear. for a prolonged period.

Most of the listed cultivars of the table can therefore also be delivered as treated seeds.

Bionic tries to keep the same prices for untreated and treated seeds, but in case of ECOCERT seeds we are sorry to say we need to take a 15% higher price above listed prices of the table.

All certified seeds are also guaranteed by the breeders to be free from e g southern fanerogame parasites like Orobanche ramosa (= ramosa = lat. "grapelike")See pictures behind the click here !) - a yellow white or "colourless" orchid-like plant parasite fri from klorofyllfri. In case the plant is found in the seed propagation field  these fields are immediately disclosed as hemp seed sources.

Full payment must have been done of legislative reasons we apply before seed can be delivered to the customer.

According to the scientific literature  - e g professor Hugo Oswald (1956) "Utility plants of the acre" (here translated from a Swedish book title "Åkerns nyttoväxter") hemp is imbibed and is germinating already att +1°C . Therefore it should be sown as early as possible - especially during energy and fiber production.  According to the same reference hemp can resist spring night frost down to at least about -10°C.
