The picture above show from the left:  Elephant Grass (Miscanthus sinensis) (97% of the crop stand has died in the Swedish climate - as usual for the country in this species. Swedish climate is simply too cool for this species - a C4-photosynthesis species. Thereafter in the middle:  Reed Grass (Phalaris arundinacea) - a native species in most areas of the country. Its bi9omass is similar to local barley total above biomass yields in the whole cuntry. Far right: Hemp (Cannabis sativa) of the cultivar Futura 75.

Note that as a good illustration of ever lasting political retardments when the picture was taken in 2006-09-19 still elephant grass and reed grass were both classified as "energy crops" by EU and the Swedisg Agricultural Board. The most high yielding crop - hemp -  was not an accepted and classified "energy crop".Thus it is a classical example of political  photosynthesis and political energy crops. Do we need that with the threats humanity now face...

An agro-political scandal retarded especially by Swedish politicians since 1965 as much as they ever could do - in the shadow from the rising global warming threats in spite of my arguments since 1974 and 1986:

From the left reed grass (= subsidised political energy crop(= not true) decided since  30 years by the Swedish political dynasty in Sweden, in the center of the picture hemp (cultivar Futura 75 - not yet subsidised and accepted energy crop when the photo was taken and the special political crop (a perennial tree destroying the drainage system completely before the first harvest Salix  still one year after "sewing" of this extra subsidised low yielding  political energy crop.

Sorry to admit - due to all Swedish controproductive planning by the Swedish ministeries during 4 decades against agriculture an active efficient photosynthesis it took me over 30 years of annual efforts and applications givien in to the Swedish Ministeries before I could take this picture in a fair comparative field trial. Talk about contraproductive  political governing of the photosynthesis from the ministeries and an attitude that is today an apparent threat against humanity with the challenges humanity now stay face to face  against.

Shame to the photosysnthetically allways contraproductive ministeries in Sweden since at least 1975.

Professor emeritus Arne Hagberg in the field at Borgeby in 2006-09-19 - an internationally respected plant breeder and my former boss during 13 years. He was during many years the leader of Swedish Seed Association - a governmentally controlled organization. The Swedish government forced him to destroy 50 years of plant breeding efforts in hemp. The agricultural ministers said consequtively (3 of them) in the 1970-ies that "Now we have decided in the parliament that hemp is snot any longer a plant, but a drug so it will never ever be cultivated again what so ever."

The Swedish hemp material was efficiently destroyed by one year of natural cross pollination in Poland. The breeders "cryed". That´s demeocratic dictature far from natural science and sustainability.

Happily enough other countries within the EU members were considerably more sustainable and clever in there attitudes against hemp. Bionic buy all seeds from them today, but the early ripening cultivars of hemp developed for Scandinavia are still lost.

Rune Ekman in July 1986 in a rape seed field during has time as agricultural advisor in the company he started named Biospectron in Sireköpinge, Svalovs community. His advise were fully based on complete determination of the atomic composition of plants. It was his way to counteract the "fallowed land politics". During this period he worked with advanced photosynthetic optimization in all agricultural crops. He also started his systematic argumentation at the ministery level in Sweden for a general acceptance for hemp as the most efficient photosynthetic tool for restoring the global atmosphere and with all CO2 -neutral technologies he is now an entrepreneur of with drug free EU hemp cultivars as an efficient major agro-tool for building a sustainable society. He is also a founder and a major owner of the company REAC Fuel AB who could start their activities to develop a new generation of efficient liquid fuels from hemp as a raw material. Unfortunately he has been delayed by the politicians during 25 years, and he is afrad of getting started with this project not too late, since the car industry is now already in severe perril as we all know.

Nelson Mandela might be the biggest in my mind as a politician.

I´m his type of convinced type for the things that are most efficient, natural & stoechiometrically right.

But I never had to go to prison like he...

However, mankind has now a tuff road to go during the coming 30 years.
